I was a very shaky student.
Literally.
The very first third ride I did as a medic student was with a vollie department in the area... It was a call for chest pain, and I was ridiculously geeked. I remember sitting in the captain's chair in the back of the squad, watching the rural landscape whiz by through the small side window feeling like I was ready to jump out of my skin. I was ready to hit that run out of the park.
